1.1. This Terms of Service Agreement (hereinafter referred to as the "Agreement") is an official public offer by the non-profit organization AurinkoLab ry (hereinafter referred to as the "Service Provider") to enter into an agreement for the provision of recreational services on the terms set forth below.
1.2. Acceptance of this offer is the Participant's attendance of classes and/or payment for the Service Provider's services.
1.3. A Participant (hereinafter referred to as the "Participant") is an individual who has accepted the terms of this Agreement by performing the actions specified in clause 1.2.
1.4. By attending classes, the Participant automatically agrees to all terms of this Agreement.
2. SUBJECT OF THE AGREEMENT
2.1. The Service Provider undertakes to provide the Participant with recreational services in the form of group/individual classes (clubs, workshops, sections, etc.), and the Participant undertakes to pay for these services in the manner and on the terms provided by this Agreement.
2.2. The specific list of services, class schedule, and pricing are determined by the Service Provider and published on the organization's website/informational materials.
3. PAYMENT TERMS
3.1. Regular Monthly Courses
3.1.1. Payment for services is made by prepayment method based on the issued invoice or through agreed payment methods.
3.1.2. The cost of services is calculated monthly based on 4 (four) classes per month.
3.1.3. If a calendar month includes 5 (five) classes, the fifth class automatically carries over as credit to a month with holidays or a month with fewer classes (less than 4).
3.1.4. Payment must be made no later than the first class of the billing month.
3.1.5. The Participant may pay for services for several months in advance by agreement with the Service Provider.
3.2. Workshop Packages (STEMLab, Family Math Club)
3.2.1. Workshop packages are purchased as a set of 4 (four) workshops and are valid for 2 (two) months from the date of purchase.
3.2.2. Payment for workshop packages is made in full by prepayment method before attending the first workshop.
3.2.3. The Participant can attend workshops according to the published schedule within the validity period of the package.
3.2.4. Unused workshops from the package expire after 2 months from the purchase date and are not refunded or carried over to the next period.
3.2.5. If all 4 workshops are completed before the expiration of the 2-month period, a new package must be purchased to continue attendance.
4. HOLIDAY MONTHS
4.1. During holiday months (summer, winter, spring holidays), the number of classes may be reduced in accordance with the Service Provider's calendar plan.
4.2. Classes carried over as credit according to clause 3.3 compensate for missing classes in holiday months.
4.3. The holiday schedule is published by the Service Provider in advance.
5. RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS OF THE PARTIES
5.1. The Service Provider undertakes to:
Ensure that classes are conducted according to the schedule
Provide quality recreational services
Promptly inform Participants of schedule changes
5.2. The Service Provider has the right to:
Change the class schedule with advance notice to Participants
Cancel a class for objective reasons with provision of a replacement or recalculation
5.3. The Participant undertakes to:
Make timely payment for services
Follow the rules of conduct in classes
Inform the Service Provider of inability to attend classes
5.4. The Participant has the right to:
Receive services of proper quality
Receive information about the schedule and changes therein
6. ABSENCES AND RECALCULATION
6.1. Regular Monthly Courses
6.1.1. In case of absence from class at the Participant's initiative, no recalculation is made, except in cases of prolonged illness (more than 2 consecutive weeks) upon presentation of a medical certificate.
6.1.2. If a class is cancelled at the Service Provider's initiative, a recalculation is made or an additional class is provided.
6.2. Workshop Packages (STEMLab, Family Math Club)
6.2.1. In case of absence from a workshop at the Participant's initiative, the missed workshop counts toward the package total and is not refunded or rescheduled.
6.2.2. If a workshop is cancelled at the Service Provider's initiative, the workshop does not count toward the package total, and the Participant can attend a replacement workshop within the package validity period.
6.2.3. The 2-month validity period of workshop packages is not extended due to Participant absences.
7. LIABILITY OF THE PARTIES
7.1. For non-performance or improper performance of obligations under this Agreement, the Parties bear responsibility in accordance with Finnish legislation.
7.2. The Service Provider is not liable for damage caused to the Participant as a result of non-compliance with safety rules and instructions.
8. TERMINATION PROCEDURE
8.1. The Participant has the right to refuse services at any time by notifying the Service Provider at least 7 days in advance.
8.2. In case of early termination of the Agreement at the Participant's initiative, unused paid classes are not refunded, except in cases provided by law.
8.3. The Service Provider has the right to terminate the Agreement unilaterally in case of systematic violation by the Participant of the terms of this Agreement.
9. FINAL PROVISIONS
9.1. This Agreement comes into force from the moment the Participant accepts the offer and remains in effect until the Parties have fully performed their obligations.
9.2. All disputes and disagreements are resolved through negotiations, and if no agreement is reached – in accordance with Finnish legislation.
9.3. The Service Provider reserves the right to make changes to this Agreement with mandatory notification to Participants at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
By participating in classes and/or paying for services, the Participant confirms that they have read the terms of this Terms of Service Agreement, understand them, and accept them in full.
